Sydney sizzles in summer with some free arts events
The annual Sydney Festival boasts a number of high quality cultural and arts events in Sydney, ensuring that our summer periods sizzle. Dance, visual arts, comedy, theatre and musicals to name a few are on show. Some of the best artists will take to the Sydney stage to bring out some sparkle and shine.As there is so much going on from the 5th to the 27th of January 2013, this article is designed to show you some of the highlights of what to expect as part of the line up for the Sydney Festival in 2013.
Firstly, Semele Walk will be held from the 11th to the 15th of
January 2013. This is where highly respected fashion designer Vivienne
Westwood and Kaleidoskop meet in an ensemble together. Her costumes
adapt to the likes of Hendel's Semele. A highly anticipated opera
musical event, which will be held at the Sydney Town Hall. Further

Now you might be asking yourself, what about Hyde Park's Honda Festival Garden? Glad you asked. Sydney bars, run scared. Why? This oasis will stake its name as a great 'after work drinks' destination in tandem with a great night to enjoy some musical delights. Some theatrical delights could also be on the cards. If you loved the Night Noodle Markets as part of the Crave Sydney International Food Festival, then you will love this garden set up for the Sydney Festival. If you don't want the night to end, then some nightclubbing action will be available: a combination of free and ticketed events. After 5pm, this is an adults only establishment. Sydney Town Hall becomes paradise - welcome to the Sydney Town Hall Paradiso, where you will find contemporary dance tunes. Looking forward to the (pop-up) Paradiso Bar on the terrace where entry is free - it is great way for some pre-show nibbles and drinks. Some events are free. Hint: any picnic events going on the Domain, and an event with a rubber duck on opening day. While for other events you need a ticket, and tickets can be purchased online as well as a various ticketing booths in and around the city. In in doubt, ticket booths are always at Martin Place.
